 Baeta was born to Ico on Gomahara. His Blatant Gift manifested early, and he and his mother exiled themselves to Orone, living in a cave. When Arx Caeles settled Artenara on Gomahara, Baeta began training with Dwasik Axitama, who taught him those Arts. In 1270 AD. Baeta moved onto Arx Caeles, to learn the ways of the Cloud People. He learned Latin and trained with weapon instructors on Arx Caeles. In 1275 AD. Paula Vedunia Ex Miscellanea approached him with an offer: he could join Ordo Hermei as a member of Domus Ex Miscellanea. If he wished, it might be possible for him to learn Hermetic magic. After some consideration, and discussion with his betrothed, Kóri Valdisdottir, Baeta decided to accept the offer and learn Hermetic magic in place of the Dwasik Arts that he had learned from Axitama. He would be able to defend his land from the Ildaw better, he thought, with Hermetic magic.
Baeta speaks Guan, Latin, some Czech, and a smattering of Norse. He resides on Planum Custodum on Arx Caeles. He wears a mix of attire, some decorative items from his native style and the garb of the Cloud People; when he departs Arx Caeles, he typically wears his burnished-bronze squamea armor under a goatskin cloak. He has an obsidian-bladed tabona and a steel dagger at his belt. |
