Giuanna was born in a small coastal village in Sardinia; she was captured as a girl by slavers and taken to Tripoli, where she was purchased in 1261 AD, having agreed to serve the wizards of Arx Caeles in return for her eventual freedom. Paula Vedunia Ex Miscellanea selected her in 1266 AD to become Atriensis Fortuniae, and Giuanna immediately began training for her future responsibilities.

Giuanna speaks Sardinian and Latin, accented Czech & Guan, and resides with her husband Ventura on Fortunia.
