Gortyna

ortyna is a small capitulum of Chios, in the ruins of ancient Gortyna near the south coast of Crete. Sancta sit over the ruins of Roman baths, near the old Roman odeon. A limewashed stone villa nearby houses guests and servants. The odeon and buildings are shaded and surrounded by a large grove of ancient olive trees. Some distance away the ruins of a temple to Apollo have been partially renovated, and a temple to Egyptian gods has been cleared of rubble. The immediate region suffers from an infestation of dangerous humanoid creatures called katakhanas, and few leave the olive grove at night.
