Description
Thoughtlock places a hold on certain thoughts or memories in the target's mind, prohibiting the target from consciously thinking them or remembering them.  If the paradigm is successful, and the target does not resist the effect, the target will become unaware of those thoughts (a secret, for example, or a dangerous memory).  Further, this paradigm will have to be defeated in some fashion for anyone else to access those thoughts or memories in the target's mind.
Effects
The target is allowed a Passive Resistance Trial (Base Willpower, Rank Affinity) against the Effect Might of the paradigm.  Active resistance may also be possible.  Pyschics might have additional means of resistance (this effect would have to overcome any mental defenses, for example).
Scope Base Scope (2 points)
Scope is altering a State (1 point)
Range is Touch: Moderate (4-9)
Area is N/A
Duration Interval is unaltered: One Action Interval.  This example paradigm is intended to be Anchored.  Longer durations might be more effective if the paradigm is not to be Anchored.
Potency Fundamental Inertia - significant alteration to mental state: Impressive (10-20)
Intricacy Targeting Will: Moderate (4-9)
Target is unfamiliar: Moderate (4-9)
Total Base Cost Spontaneous: 50, Optimized: 25
Temper Aspects Anchor is used for this version.  Maintain would be useful with a longer Duration Interval.
Overpower is frequently useful to overcome resistance.
Notes
This version of the paradigm presses the boundaries of Sorcery in the Manipulation/Will configuration.  Anchoring the effect limits the amount of Omnessence that can be added to Overpower or other Temper Aspects, and reduces the overall power of the paradigm.  More temporary versions can be strengthened significantly.
This paradigm can be cast spontaneously with a short duration, and maintained.  This might be useful if the Psychic wished to prevent himself from thinking a particular thought or remembering something (if he suspected his mind were being probed, for example).
