errence wears typical garb - sheepskin leggings, brown wool tunic and cloak, leather boots, and sturdy brigantine hauberk.
| He carries a longsword, dirk,
round shield and shortspear. Terrence is almost always accompanied by his huge
mastiff, Blackie, and has recently taken on responsibility for
caring for a Wolfhound bitch, Cara (which had belonged to one of
his Watch, Brian of Donegal, who died in service to Fitheach Tigh). Terrence likes to fight lightly armored, using his athletic ability and native speed to advantage. He favors the fluid hit-and-run tactics of the border raider. |

atural leadership ability and talent with a sword have earned Terrence the position of Sairsint, or Sergeant, despite his dubious English background.
| Terrence just never was accepted in his native Yorkshire - his uncanny air made folks mutter about him behind his back, and it didn't help that he had been accused (unjustly, he assures everyone) of rape. Terrence fought on both sides of the border fights between England and Scotland, and eventually fell in with a band of Scottish cattle raiders who were headed west to the Isles. Lucas took him on as a Sergeant on a trial basis - he has to prove himself by developing a new guard watch, the Fabhcun Freiceadann. Terrence has only one warrior in his watch so far, an Irish ne'er-do-well named Brian, but he is determined to make the most of this opportunity. If only it weren't for those strange Magi, who give him a funny shiver whenever he's around them. | |||
