1198 Spring |

The Council of Magi directs Doggath of
Flambeau to take a party to Hell Cat Island and collect vis from the pelt. The
Council approves the Librarian's plan to improve the Library, and directs that the
Covenant's stores of Imaginem vis be allocated to Sean Campbell for the production of
Mystical Platonic Dyes to be used in the creation of colored inks for the Library.
Fergus served as Magus of the Season. |

Patrick of Mercere brought word from Argyll
of Faerie troubles in the town Boskey Dell. Doggath successfully collected the vis
from Hell Cat Island, and Patrick of Mercere travelled to Hibernia bearing messages from
Cad Gadu and Loch Leglean Tribunal. Doggath of Flambeau sought out King Bogomir of
the Fae, who was due to hold a huge Fae revel on the Covenant lands, but failed to
persuade the King to move his revel. Consors Eduard Spurius and Dairmid the Forester
manage to contain damage from the revel and gain the favor of King Bogomir. |

Consors Jean-Michel proceeded on a trading
voyage to Ypres to trade the Covenant's wool for supplies and silver. |

1198 Summer |
The Council directed Doggath of Flambeau,
Fergus Ex Miscellanea, and Titus Sculpas of Verditious to travel with the Falcon Watch to
the mainland to collect vis crystals from the cave. Asperus served as Magus of the
Season. |
The Magi sent to collect vis were successful
in defeating the forces of Signa Vincum who sought to contest for the right to collet vis
from the caves, but Dairmid the Forester and Brian of Donegal were slain fighting bandits
in the pay of Signa Vincum. Sean Campbell produced three batches of Mystical
Platonic Dyes, which he used to create three pots of colored inks: red, blue, and green.
Fergus Ex Miscellanea recruited two former bandits to enter the service of Fitheach
Tigh, who were assigned to the Wyvern and Falcon Watches. |

1198 Autumn |
The Council directed Alcibiades of Merinita
to take Patrick of Mercere as the first guest to visit the Fey Lord and collect the Faerie
vis. The Council also approved a plan by Alcibiades to plant a large Faerie Oak in
the courtyard of the Covenant, just north of the Library. Alcibiades served as Magus
of the Season, with Tain filling in during his absence. |
Patrick of Mercere returns from Wales with
news from the Continent and messages from Cad Gadu. Alcibiades successfully
collected the Fairie vis, and gathered a Faerie Acorn with which to plant the Faerie
Oak. He planted the tree in late Autumn, and it magically grew to a huge size in a
single day. Alcibiades further enchanted the Oak to shape itself into a Faerie
Treehouse, into which he moved his quarters and laboratory. |

The Magi are increasingly harassed by bizarre
occurances in the area of the Covenant. Doggath reports that ravens are assaulting
him with droppings, while Titus discovers his statues to be speaking, bleeding, and
crumbling for no apparent reason. Philograccus is heard to utter frequent
embarrassing slips of the tongue. The Covenant is visited by the Quaesitor Whitburh,
who inspects the Covenant's charter and finds it, and the Covenant, to be in order. |
Jean-Michel returned from his trading voyage
to Ypres, Brest, and Waterford with a surplus of silver due to his creative trading
arrangements. The Covenant received a total surplus of 70 pounds of silver, in
addition to the annual supplies needed, and sufficient lab materials for three labs. |

1198 Winter |
The Council directed that mistletoe vis be
collected by the entire Council immediately following the renewal of the Covenant's Aegis
on Midwinter Day. Philograccus served as Magus of the Season. |
Sean Campbell re-binds several volumes,
beginning his lengthy and challenging project to improve the Covenant's meager library.
Alexander the Lame of Merinita arrived with a gift of a rook of Terram vis for the
Covenant and a proposal for the Covenant's support in the Tribunal the following year. |
The Magi's troubles continue, causing
constant frustration and problems. Covenfolk experience many minor curses.
Doggath of Flambeau improved his laboratory to meet Hermetic standards. |
