Back to the Covenant

We, the undersigned Magi of Fitheach Tigh, do hereby establish the Laws and Governances of this Mystical Covenant, and do thus agree, swear, affirm, and intend, by our Mark below, to obey, uphold, enforce, and submit our Wills to the Intent, Spirit, and Letter of this binding Charter.
We do so of our own Free Will, under no Influences other than our own; no Magicks or Powers Mundane force Us here today. We understand that our lives are forfeit should this or any other part of our Oaths be found false.
We here truthfully state that we have never consorted with or aided Demons, Diabolists, or Practitioners of Magick other than those sanctioned by the Order, and will continue this abstinence as long as we live.
We further swear that to each of us the title of Magus is proper, and that all Ties, Oaths, and Loyalties, binding or otherwise, to our filia and former Covenants are hereby renounced.
We further swear to follow both the Code of Hermes and the Peripheral Code, lest we lose the title of Magi, position within our Houses, and places within this Covenant.
From this day foreward, Fitheach Tigh is our home. Its goals are our goals, its alles our allies, its enemies our enemies, its riches our riches, its hardships our hardships. We swear never, by action or inaction, to allow the Covenant to come to harm, in the material, magickal, or spiritual sense. We agree never to represent Fitheach Tigh to others, sign binding pacts, or make oaths regarding its members or its welfare without first being so empowered by the Council of Fitheach Tigh. In all respects we will uphold the Reputation and Honor of this, our new home, and consider its welfare above our own.
We further agree to the following governances regarding the disposition of all wealth, both mundane, magickal, and spiritual, within the Covenant.

Concerning the Distribution of Vis

Vis collected by the Covenant shall be divided among Magi of the Covenant after sufficient Vis for the Aegis of the Hearth has been set aside for the next year. Remaining Vis shall be divided according to the following parts:
Two Parts per Magus of the Charter, to do with as each Magus wishes, for research, or enchantment, or use in Spells, or other lawful magickal use. Such Vis may not be traded outside of the Covenant, however, without the approval of a majority in Council.
One Part to the Stores of the Covenant, for such future use as shall be deemed necessary by the Council, for use in time of Dire Need, or for use in enchantments or spells for the Covenant as a Whole.
One Part per Redcap or New Magus, until such time as He or She shall be Elected to become a Magus of the Charter. Redcaps shall entrust their Part to a Magus of the Covenant for use on their part first, unless all Magi decline such service. The Part owed to the Chief Redcap shall be conveyed according to the Laws of Mercere and the Order.

Concerning the Distribution of Mundane Wealth

Silver, and other forms of Mundane Wealth collected by the Covenant, shall be disposed of thusly:
For each Season of work for the Covenant’s improvement, not to exceed two per Year except upon the express decision of the Council, the Magus shall receive 2 Pounds of Silver, for use as He sees fit. Such work may be the expansion of the Libraries, Arcane or Mundane, or the improvement of the Covenant itself, or the creation of Enchantments for the Covenant or for the Grogs, or for Trade with Mortals on the behalf of the Covenant and for its gain.. It is further agreed that no Magus may Trade with Mortals himself, but must do so for the Covenant, and under its approval and conditions.
Each Consors in Service to the Covenant shall receive the value of 2 Pounds of Silver for each year of service, in addition to Shelter and Provisions as the Covenant has available for the Consorti.
Each Grog in Service to the Covenant shall receive the value of one Pound of Silver each year of service, in addition to such Shelter and Provisions as the Covenant has available for the Grogs.
Payment to Consors and Grogs shall be made each Season (or in such regular fashion as the Turb Captain deems suitable for the Grogs). Payment to Magi shall be made after each Season’s labours.
It is further agreed that if the needs of the Covenant are Dire, and such Wealth as should be paid to members is not available, that such Debts shall be held in patience until such time as the Council may decide that they may be payed without causing Dire Hardship for the Covenant. It is hereby determined that the needs of the Covenant shall first be met, then payment to Grogs. Moneys remaining shall be dispensed amongst the Consors and Magi.
For the needs of the Covenant, such Moneys as may be required shall be spent upon direction of the Council.
This is our Solemn Oath and Agreement, to abide by this Charter, and any changes, provisions, or other amendments as shall be enacted by full Council.

Amendments to the Charter

The following are amendments to the Charter of Fitheach Tigh, duly proclaimed by the Council of Magi of Fitheach Tigh:
Should a Magus of Fitheach Tigh wish to trade some vis of his own possession with vis of another Art in the Covenant's stores, he may do so, subject to the approval of the Council and the following provisions:
Vis taken from the stores must be replaced by an equal amount of vis of another Art, plus one additional pawn of vis per 3 pawns, or fraction thereof, taken from the Covenant stores.
Rego or Vim vis may not be taken from the stores if in so doing the total amount of Rego and Vim vis would be reduced to less than two Rooks, or if in so doing the amount of the Art taken (either Rego or Vim) would be reduced to less than a Rook in Covenant stores.
Duly proclaimed by the Council of Magi in the Autumn, Annus Arietis1337.
